For this blog, I will introduce you to Gage. He was born on May 29, 2010 at 12:15 pm. He was 16.75 inches long and weighed 3 lbs 10 oz. He came 9 weeks early. He was in the NICU for exactly one month. He had no major problems while there, just minor ones including breathing apnea and a staph infection. He was released from the NICU after he was able to nurse or bottlefeed for 24 hours and had no breathing problems off of his medicine for 24 hours. We went home on June 29th. What an exciting day that was!! No more driving to the hospital to see my son and I could wake up to feed him at night, instead of waking up to pump (not fun!) We spent another month in Leesburg pretty much cooped up in the house and then moved to Dublin, Ga on July 31st. So that catches you up on his first two months, I know, not too exciting yet. I'll have more to tell in future posts. Enjoy a few pictures of the first couple of months!
He had to be hooked up to all this as soon as he was born. He only had the breathing machine (the mouthpiece) for about 24 hours. |
See how tiny he was?!? |
